SAF is hosting our annual Spring Scholarship Fundraising Party!
Join other Midcentury Modern fans over a glass of wine, icy Rosalita cocktails and creative canapés in a picture-perfect setting. This very special event takes place in an original Sarasota School house designed by Jack West in 1952, and never before open to the public. The Ocala block and glass residence, situated on a lush, tropical lot, was remodeled in 2001 using West’s drawings for a large sky-lit atrium and second-story master suite. The unique home is a standout gem in the Oyster Bay Estates neighborhood.
The house is featured as the March 2016 Home of the Month, "Jack West House: Then and Now" by
Robert Plunket, in the
Sarasota Observer. Robert will be on hand to add his insightful take on the architecture.
Pianist
Eddie Tobin will tickle the ivories on the baby grand with cocktail classics.
Artist
John Pirman's signed print of the iconic "Umbrella House" will be the highlight of the evening’s
Silent Auction.
Proceeds benefit the SAF - Paul Rudolph Scholarship Fund. Space is limited, so please reserve early in order to be part of this memorable and festive event.
Our sincere thanks to
Jay Hunsberger for graciously opening his home to SAF, and to sponsors
