"Victor Lundy: Sculptor of Space" 2014 (50 minutes)

Victor A. Lundy (b. 1923) practiced architecture in Sarasota between 1953-1960 and is one of the founding members of "The Sarasota School." This documentary was produced by the General Services Administration, whose US Tax Court was designed by Lundy in 1965 and completed in 1972. Throughout his career Lundy strove to create inspiring and uplifting spaces, most of which can be described as having "more roof than wall." The film reveals the importance of Lundy's childhood experiences, artistic tendencies, military service and architectural education to his buildings, which Lundy describes as having “strong, easily recognized images, because I try to make architecture say something boldly, clearly, simply.”
